This handcrafted basket comes from a family-run workshop near the Sant’Ambrogio market in Florence, where the art of impagliatura, the traditional straw-weaving technique, has been passed down from generation to generation for nearly a century.
The craft is preserved with deep respect for age-old methods: no machinery, only simple tools - a hammer, an awl, and skilled hands. Each weave reflects mastery, rhythm, and patience, making every piece truly one of a kind.
The straw used is sourced exclusively from natural origins - authentic, undyed, and entirely free of synthetic additives.
